Enjoyed on draft at Henry’s Great Alaskan Restaurant in Kodiak, Alaska 2020.
A: No head formation on the pour into a pint glass shows burnt, darkish orange tendencies with a deeply toned body. Little to no carbonation factor as well lasting glass appeal.
S: The nose had little to no aromatic strength, smooth, but weakly defined it terms of strength and character. A bit of lemon-orange, breadiness is best I could define. Fresh, but again very light with little wow factor per name.
T: The flavor brought forth a bit more umph, but not by much. Malty oranges, which reminds me more of an octoberfest style beer. Toasted grains, soft flowery hops, some bready character and caramel sweetness, again tasted like an amped up octoberfest.
M: Light slick body, crisp lager like palate.
O: Reminds me more of an American October/fall fest style beer with the body and malt orange-flowery like hops. I would of figured this a pale or ipa by name, only later found out this is defined as a steam beer. Finishes with some dry bread. Really wanted to like this, but maybe my palate has been wrecked by to many big beers to appreciate the smaller mass appeal beers. As far as name, was expecting a big bright juiciness of hops. The malty mouthful seems to be the biggest aspect here.

My buddy's girlfriend brought this beer home from Alaska to MD, and we split a magnum swingtop.
Whether intentional or not, I think the brewer should have put a little more info on the label. All I had to go by was a marking on the cap to let me know I was drinking Liquid Sunshine. As for the beer itself, moderate head with little lacing, and a dark golden color.
The smell was very hoppy.
The taste was also very hoppy, but without the malt to back it up. I think it was a little off.
Mouthfeel was average, light on the gums, not too carbonated and smooth.
As far as drinkability, I could only have one glass before I was uninterested.
