Inspired by the aromatic, dry, bitter, blonde biers from Brasserie De La Senne and De Ranke. German Pilsner malt, our house ale yeast fermented cold, Hersbrucker and Segal High Oil Cascades. Lightly dry hopped. Floral, grapefruit zest, lemon oil, herbs. Incredibly drinkable yet packs a lot of flavor for 4.5%.

setting a pretty high bar for themselves when they straight up call out de la senne and de ranke as inspirations for this one, two of the very best right there, a couple of super iconic beers being referenced, pretty bold really, but i respect it, i am a huge fan, and did find this darn good, if not quite as compelling and timeless as the ones they acknowledge. i love the approach, and the result is nice, i think this may change batch to batch or season to season, or at least has changed over time, i am seeing a few different descriptions online, as far as hops and stuff go, but the version i had was cohesive and delicious, balanced and old worldy while still having a rather substantial hop presence, not as outwardly belgian to me as the classics they modeled this on, but i think a lot of this is right. its pale straw color blonde in the glass with a little bit of mild haze to it, and it sports a peaky white head that rises well above the rim of the glass and adds that visual belgian authenticity. it smells and tastes rather nuanced even without a crazy estery fermentation profile on it, i get some fruitiness there, some bitter and herbal hops too that start kind of early and add definite freshness, green tea, mowed lawn, decent alpha, then a nice fresh cereal malt base on it but staying light, pils-like but not bready enough to take over the beer, could be a pinch of white wheat in this as well, there is a textural softness, and they nailed the carbonation. i get hints of lemon, white pepper, unflavored biscotti, crisp white wine, and a unifying minerality at the end. i love it having some bitterness but staying this light on the grain side, and i think overall this is a rare interesting ripper, like so few beers this easy, especially in the states, drink with this much character and intent, even more true in the non lager space, real well done, even if its not quite giving de la senne or de ranke a real run for their money...

12oz, no canning date

Purchased from the brewery cooler for $1.67

Poured at fridge temp into a nonic glass

Pours a pale unfiltered golden with a bright white head that is quite persistent. 4

Grainy, light malt sweetness on the nose. Clean. 4

Some soft citrus, mixed grains, floral hoppy bite and finish. 4

Very soft and easy drinking, silky mineral water feel and refreshingly dry finish. 4

Overall a excellent crusher I definitely need more of, and flavor punched far higher than it's class. 4
