Lunch Laps returns. The goal with Lunch Laps is to use yeast and hops to create the fruity flavors breweries often add to a wheat beer to make them more interesting. We tried using some new school Thiolized yeast last time but weren’t really stoked on the results. For this batch we used the same yeast we use to ferment our sour beer. It’s a Norwegian farmhouse yeast that creates a ton of citrus peal and tropical aromas on it’s own. We added a bit of Krush (formerly HBC586) to the whirlpool to add just a bit more tropical character. It’s an incredibly soft and smooth beer to enjoy in these last remaining hot days of summer.
