a clean and drinkable authentic take on the style, maybe not the most exotic or captivating brew we had in here, but its quality is right there with the best of them, no duds in here, some really nice beers across the board, really rad little operation that i am just not learning about, but had a killer visit to the brewery. this is tidy and crisp, well lagered, less sweet and substantial than they can sometimes be, which lends to real high drinkability, but there is also nuance to this, softly herbal hops in aroma and flavor, some finishing bitterness and overall freshness, some old world appeal to the lager strain, bready and crackery and real compatible with the pils type malt this is built on, to me definitely a little more mild in overall flavor in terms of both grain and hops than their just me mt hood edition pils that was pouring, but there are some similarities and i think this hits as one of their more approachable beers on the menu, refreshing and bright, lively on the bubbles and quick on the finish without being dumbed down or minimal in any way, just light as they go. the mouthfeel is excellent, its not thin for being easy, which can be tricky, and i love the full flavor of the grain without it really taking on much sweetness, also uncommon to this level of success. overall a fine brew, appropriately hopped and really quenching while holding on to its german authenticity, well done!
