a neat saison here, orange in color, almost all the way clear, airy white headed, brightly fruity and floral, more summer than winter, but quite unique. usually clean saisons made in the states always taste kind of similar to me, there are generally only a handlful of yeast strains breweries use, and they thus lack any real heart and soul. this is different to me, maybe a kveik yeast or a blend of strains, its a touch sharp, but adds layers of candied mango and pineapple, tangerine, and muscat grape on the fruit side, and geramium and elderflower or something on the flower side, really interesting and dynamic. the malt base is also fairly robust here, a tad sweet, but with warm baked coziness to it not normally found in the saison style. it also provides quite a bit of body, so this really feels expansive. carbonation is high too, and this is refreshing almost for its complexity. i like the fermentation profile a lot as clean saison goes, so well done there, and i think overall its a fun recipe thats been quite professionally executed. already looking forward to a return visit here, this place is rad!
