For beer drinkers with great manes (and not so great manes) who like to live life on the darker side. Not quite a stout and too smooth to be a brown ale, this one is full of flavor.

16 ounce draft pour at the brewery.
L: Dark chocolaty brown, creamy beige head with good retention, some lace, lively pour.
S: Chocolate malt, caramel, spicy hops.
T: Rich and malty, chocolate and light roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, sweet overall with a more dry finish.
F: Medium-weight body, moderately carbonated, creamy feel.
O: An easy drinker with great flavor. I have had as many as 3 pints of this in an evening. But it is a touch sweet and under attenuated for the style. Not an issue for me though.

Taster:
Dark brown, seemingly clear, and holds a ring of white bubbles. Nose is caramel topping toasted date bread. Little thick and on the sweet side, but a nice dark bread flavor comes through. my impression is that if they went a little lower ABV and has the yeast eat more sugars, I think the inkling of pretzel I perceive might come out, making this a really good beer.
