500ml Bottle from Reilly's in Lisnaskea, Fermanagh (£2.29):
Sadly not one of O'Hara's better offering, although I might have guessed as much given it was labelled as a new session IPA from the brewery; to be honest, I'd probably describe it as an English style IPA myself. Overall the beer was quite a subdued & almost weak offering that opened with some pine & citrus but neither seemed particularly pronounced or noticeable. In fairness, I managed to finish the beer without too many problems but it just didn't seem to be one that I particularly enjoyed; perhaps if it had been presented as an English pale ale or IPA then I might have enjoyed it more but as it stands, it was a pretty poor session IPA & one I'll likely avoid in future.

330 ml bottle served in a lager glass. No date.
This is a light IPA: Light golden color; lightly hazy; light strength; light body; and (presumably, given the 4% ABV) light in calories. Best characterized by the grassy hops, this is satisfying as a session IPA. It improved as it got bolder with some warming.

look: one finger white head which quickly dissipates to a thin layer of bubbles, some lacing, beer is a lovely super hazy golden colour, seems to be a few bubbles rising through the beer.
smell: it’s quite aromatic for a session ipa, pretty juicy smelling, lots of citrus fruits, mainly orange, some passion fruit, a lil bit of pink grapefruit, some caramel, quite sweet smelling, the hop bitterness is there but it’s light, pretty inviting anyway.
taste: i don’t know where those fruit flavours have gone, but they’re just not there like they are on the nose, there is a good bit of malt flavour at first, bready and earthy, then the sweetness hits, but it’s only faintly fruity, citrus fruit, mainly pink grapefruit and oranges some caramel, and then there’s a tap of hop bitterness but the finish is really dominated by a lingering metallic taste, disappointing.
feel: light bodied, highly carbonated, thin, like sparkling water at times, metallic flavours lingering on the back of the tongue are not pleasant.
overall: this is the second beer in a row that i’ve had from o’hara’s that has been rather poor, a shame

Little darker than golden with a good frothy head. Aroma is malty, hoppy with faint trace of pepper, flavour is strongly malty, touch of cocoa, dry aftertones, quite bitter. Another good one from O'Haras, this is a session ale at 4%, I like it chilled. I like it a lot.

Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma is mainly malty with some earthy hops. Taste is really balanced with some caramel malt and quite bitter and earthy finish. Light body with the specific minerality of British water. Overall it leans more towards a bitter than an IPA but it's a decent ale.
