Taster at Brown Beard. Hazy orange golden pour thick fluffy head. Yeasty aroma, light banana. Taste hits the mark, doughy, yeasty, Clive, banana, bubblegum, all the usual culprits. Mouthfeel is extraordinary too. Moved to the top of my American weizens.

this is really good, among the best of the beers we had in here. cool to have another brewery in this area, its become quite the little run of beer drinking there, and these guys are a great addition. this is old worldy, frankly fantastic for a first run of this sort of thing, the doors just opened. i love the yeast, thats what makes this, an old bavarian strain it seems, controlled well but expressive, on top of a simple but fresh wheat malt base, great attention to detail here, this is pretty expert in terms of recipe design and technical execution. straw colored, consistently hazy, a creamy inch plus of frothy sturdy white head on top, good carbonation. it smells subtly fruity, green banana, green grape, and light apple cider notes, along with soft white pepper and a hint of coriander seed, but not overly estery or spicy, and well grounded by the pale wheat. the flavor is similar, a little herbal towards the finish as it warms, light slate and clay mineral character, a dry finish, and a super frothy body from the grain. the high carbonation is right on for this, i love the classic creamy feel it has, and the flavors the yeast imparts are right on. this is delicious, summery, and very drinkable, arguably their best beer in the early going...
