West Coast IPA. Old school meets new school. A bit of pine and dankness, balanced bitterness and sweetness.
Hops: Simcoe, Centennial, Talus, Strata

Nice almost completely clear pale golden yellow. Good finger+ of white wet head. Moderate retention, and some lacing, though not anything exceptional.
Nose is juicy up front, with bits of melon and light tropical fruit coming in behind that. The newer hops are the most notable to me (HBC 586 + Strata). Some clean malts underneath it all, but this is fruity hops first and foremost.
Flavour doesn't commit quite as hard to the sweet fruit juice at the forefront of the nsoe and modern trends. There's more of an earthy/spicy thing as well as some lemon citrus which is probably more the Simcoe and Centennial.
Finish is oily and pithy primarily, with fine sharp pinpricks of carbonation.
Overall a solidly enjoyable west coast style IPA, with a good bitter kick to the finish to balance out some juicy fruits up front.
