Nose is very rich, with cognac, cherry and chocolate. The flavour is a bit messy, lots going on but not well blended. Chocolate and cherry big time, cognac just behind, with some oak. Alcohol is present but well-hidden considering the strength. Full bodied with a lively carbonation, rather tingly, but still heavy. Overall, pretty good, but it could certainly be tighter.

Decent mildly tart beer, with noticeable cherry, and not overwhelming barrel. Very dark body. Dangerously sippable. Complex and interesting.Bottle from the source.

Too much going on here. Waaaaaay too much. Applaud the ambition. Next time let's feel some measured restraint.
Hits you like a frieght train. Flavours, aromas, and alcohol in a steel cage death match. Alcohol always wins. Alcohol always wins.
Don't really taste the cherries beyond first sip. After that, palate is destroyed, and I'm flat on the couch fighting the spins. Don't taste the wood but feel like someone hit me in the head with a 2x4.
Boozy. Boozy. Boozy.

Cognac barrel aged imperial saison with sour cherries. I originally misread the label as imperial stout but was quickly corrected on my first sip. Sour cherries come through nicely alongside dark cocoa and a hint of cognac on the finish. Black forest chocolate cake in a cup with a hint of tartness. 11% that drinks like a 5%-er. Super smooth and very unique.
