Berenice is our Czech-style Amber Lager. Crafted with Czech floor-malted barley, a select blend of specialty German malts, Czech hops, and our house lager yeast blend, it is balanced, clean, and soft. Lagered for many weeks and naturally carbonated, we taste notes of citrus, spice, bread crust, caramel, and crackers.
It is named after Berenice I (340 – 279/268 BCE), who was the second Ptolemaic queen of Egypt. Her son, Ptolemy II, built a port on the Red Sea and named it after her.
