A quite sizeable parking lot with some nice landscaping greets you before entering a rather large warehouse space fitted with a variety of short tops surrounded on the fringes by several high tops just before the brewing operations. The bar goes relatively unused by comparison, as it serves more as a two piece ordering station, as well as glass return, though there are a few stools at both edges that don't experience as much crowd interference. That said, the bar's surface consists of a nicely polished, light colored wood. There's also a quite spacious patio with several picnic tables just overlooking the overgrown stream.

The vibe inside was quite lively during our visit, filled to the brim with families and their boisterous children, plus a few dogs. The dogs were well-behaved, but some of the kids were sprinting back and forth performing such actions as repeatedly kicking the door to the patio open. The music was loud enough to mostly compensate, while pickleball tournaments adorned the screens.

Though their website says they close at 8 on Sundays, they did last call at 6, which seemed odd to me. Still, that barely whittled the crowd down, so I imagine they might otherwise have a hard time getting people out of the building. Aside from that, service at the bar was prompt and friendly, and we'd gotten the chance to leisurely try all we wanted by this point. Style-wise, the to-go options were just as fairly well varied as the draft list, while there was also a food truck outside.

The beer, though--wow. Stunningly well made.

Doctor Caius, Doctor Caius… Doctor Caius, Doctor Caius… (Oh shut up, you know that Simpsons bit was going around in your head, too). Witzel was on time in the Bronx to be gotten, but dragged ass in coming out from inside the Jerome Ave McDonalds and then was all confused about finding my car or not my car as it wasn’t because whatever car he tried to get into wasn’t mine so jackjass just went back inside even though I told him I was here and then I had to park on that stupid one way I hate because it forces you to go like 4 blocks to get back around to where you were, just so I could go inside to rouse (read: ‘yell at’) him. But we did make amazing time up because we got out early and also, I speed, baby. Speeeeeeed. Arrived minutes after opening on a Saturday, and there was already some frickin degenerate there ahead of me getting his beer on. Not cool! Nobody ‘beer bests’ me….

A long farmhouse building with that new brewery smell. Gotta love it. Straight light wood topped bar and a black panel base to the rear. Seating for none (get your beer, then stand clear). Barback counter holds a dozen non-descript wood handles on a stainless barbell tower, and an upright LUKR handle trio. A short shelf behind the taps displays different glassware, and a longer shelf above with vases and faces and vessels and figuriney things. A pair of tap boards atop (Beer, style, ABV, pricing for full pour & 4oz shorty, and drawings representing the character the beer is named for), and glassware shelved below the bar.

Gray concrete floors, white wall lowers and vaulted windowed uppers, and an arched ceiling with wood plank slats. Fans at the arch and ductwork bordering. Phat black I-beam uprights and cross beams. Drop pan lamps on center, perimeter track spots, and drop bulbs tracing the bar and barback. Windows on the back wall to both sides of the bar overlooking the biergarten. Light art; a few crazy mosaic pieces from many centuries ago. They are mad cool. 2 crates of vinyl on the barback for the play. Merch corner holds glassware and shirts in many bright colors boxed. Can & bottle to go coolers alongside, and a game rack.

2 dozen tables in all; low short roundys seating 3 & squares seating 4, raised roundys for 2, and rolling bar counter tables up against the brewery bordering. Out back Biergarten space holds 16 picnics under tentings set Battleship style horizontally & vertically and some cornhole action there (me, pointing).

13 beers, a good mix of a styles (Sappho, German Style Helles, 4.5%; Hortensia, Southern German Style Pilsner, 5.1%, Balbilla, German Style Kolsch, 4.9%; Zenobia, Bavarian Style Hefeweizen, 5.4%; Livia, Pale Ale, 5.2%; Catullus: Citra, IPA, 7.2%; Brutus: DDH, IPA, 6.5%; Cleopatra, New Zealand IPA, 7.2%, Nelson; Apicius II, Raspberry/Cherry Kettle Sour, 5.5%; Arminius, Robust Porter, 6.5%; Commodus, Imperial Stout, 7.8%; Commodus: Vanilla, Nitro Imperial Stout, 7.8%; Boadicea, Imperial Maple Stout, 12%).

Sappho, German Style Helles, crisp, bready, just a bit sweet, good for style; Zenobia, Bavarian Style Hefeweizen, banananana, restraint clove, real nice; Livia, Pale Ale, definitely cantaloupeian, good clean Pale Ale; Cleopatra, New Zealand IPA, yep, Nelson, juicy & fun fruity, Ben said “I’m telling you right now, that’s good!”; Catullus: Citra, IPA, fruit candy, solid Citra; Arminius, Robust Porter, dark chocolate & espresso, yo; Balbilla, German Style Kolsch, biscuit, light fruity esters; Commodus, Imperial Stout, coffee, rich dark chocolate, well done; Hortensia, Southern German Style Pilsner, crisp, good hop presence. I’m thinking Livia (Pale Ale), Cleopatra (New Zealand IPA), Hortensia (Southern German Style Pilsner), and Commodus (Imperial Stout) for the wins, but really, everything was good here.

Lots of good 90’s tunes today. Chill place at opening and then filled in quickly. Good looking space. And some well done beers. This is one to watch.

Modern barn-like building on the northeast side of town a bit off the highway. Straight service bar perpendicular to the entrance on the left with tables and booths about the room and on a patio out back. Brewhouse is to the far right of the bar. 14 beers on tap. Friendly bartenders. Food truck.
