Catilina: Vanilla is a specialty version of our flagship Imperial IPA, Catilina. Crafted with American malted barley, specialty German malts, heaps of flaked oats, and our house ale yeast, it is soft, juicy, and complex. It was hopped generously with a select blend of Australian and American hops, primarily Galaxy and Citra, and it was conditioned on heaps of Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. We taste notes of creamsicle, mango milkshake, pineapple, and orange sorbet.
It is named after Lucius Sergius Catilina (108 – 62 BCE), who was a Roman senator and attempted to overthrow the Roman Republic.
