Servilia is a German-style pilsner designed to showcase our favorite German hop, Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Crafted with IREKS malt from Stone Path Malt in Wareham, MA, our selected lot of Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops, and a new lager strain from our friends at The Yeast Bay, this pilsner is balanced, soft, and incredibly drinkeable. Double-decocted, naturally carbonated, and lagered for over eight weeks, we taste notes of melon, lemon candy, bread crust, crackers, and white tea. It is named after Servilia (100 BCE - after 42 BCE), who was the mother of the Brutus who conspired to assassinate Julius Caesar. She was also the mistress of Julius Caesar, and it is said that Caesar admired her intellect and cleverness.
