Inaugural beer in the Meditations series. Stout recipe BS1 aged in a 15 -year 1792 barrel for 22 months and then aged in a Willett Bourbon barrel for 10 more months. Then blended with stout recipe BS2that was aged in Buffalo trace Mash barrels for 12 months and then Willett Bourbon for 10 months to create the final beer.
The stout is named after a specific message from Marcus Aurelius' Meditations. 4.17 :" Do not live as though destined to live countless years; while you live, while it is possible, become good."
