Nearly clear pale golden brew with long-lasting foam in the tall IPA glass. The aroma is more grainy than smoky, but the first sip let's you know it's smoky stuff. Thin and watery body with plenty of spritz and is actually very pleasing. Very dry with just that smoke and bitterness. It's quite drinkable if you want a quick quaff and don't mind the rather acrid finish. From the 16 oz can; not dated.

really tasty smoked wheat beer, oak and cherrywood smoked malt in here, i think just the oak is traditional in the style. a collaboration with brujos, who is making waves already, and my first ever beer from solaris. love this style and glad to see some trending breweries tackle it together. looks nice and blonde, really light as the style should, super delicate and high rising airy white head from the tap, great retention, light wheaty hazy to this, tons of big bubbles, could be keg conditioned even. this one has wonderful minerality to it in the nose, deeply earthy with the smoke, and woodier than most, like i can smell the wood and the fire as much as the wheat itself, simple really at its core, but a little more smoke intensity and also fruitiness from the cherrywood, still not acrid or bitter to me, although this does have some hops, even kind of fresh and succulent from the hops juxtaposing the smoke element, but it stays mellow enough and approachable overall, smells fresh even verdant, an odd observation for a smoked beer, but here we are. i smell a little light funk to this too, but i dont really taste that, bready yeast, almost an old german lager note to it somehow, less of the hotdog bun thing than a lot of these have. the flavor is well layered with smoke and hops, light citrus, aloe, and straw, summery and airy, and clean even as it warms. the smoke never gets bitter even though its bold, the body is light but still has some wheaty softness, and the carbonation is absolutely popping so this is refreshing for what it is. love the low abv too, wish these levels were more common really. a really nice take on the style, the two different smoked malts is a could touch, as are the seemingly higher than normal hops in here. a great recipe and killer execution, loved it!
