Daylily Brewed with loads of Citra and Mosaic hops. This one is perfect for drinking all year 'round. Bold citrus notes are rounded out by a clean bitterness. This beer is for great times with close friends. Enjoy it in good company.

Pours a hazy lemon yellow with a finger of foamy head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring with plenty of lacing. Aroma of citrus with a trace of pine. Taste follows nose. Refreshing.

Their flagship hoppy beer, this was a can pour interestingly. All OK on itself, but I could only drink somewhat a taster's worth of the can. It's a dialed back version of an IPA.

Head tops out around one finger, bright white, even surfaced, the liquid is more translucent than full-on opaque, sort of washed out yellow. Piney nose with mild dankness, grassy though, basic peach, apricot to melon fruit scents, no real citrus presence, creamy feel in the nostrils. Medium-bodied, creamy here too if not foamy, softly carbonated. Again, the dankness is subtle and complementary. There is a pleasing bitterness to it. Fruit maybe takes on a tropical patina, still mostly orchard fruit. Good bit of malts. The naval orange citrus pops out during the finish. Solid, easy drinking beer, stays within itself.

On draft poured into a pint glass. A well made beer by a local brewery using Citra and Mosaic hops. Smell and taste make this an easy drinking beer. Will have again in the future…worth a try if you see it.

a: slightly hazy dark straw yellow with a frothy 2 finger bright white head
s: orange peel, pineapple, sharp tangerine and pineapple. a big generic floral note and a touch of crackers. sweet oranges at the end
t: sweet clementines immediately followed by a strong floral, almost rose note. sweet pineapple and mild orange zest. kiwi and very faint grapefruit. a touch bready in the backbone
m: lighter side of medium with low-medium carbonation
o: top notch flavor from this beer here. it's light, but has a nice depth of flavor. great example of the style, my only knock is i think it could use a bit more carbonation

Canned on 4/30/2023 so one week old. Poured into a Willi Becher glass. It pours a hazy, bright golden-orange color with two fingers of fluffy, eggshell-colored head and lots of thick, soapy lacing. Very attractive! A fruity nose featuring lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, and soft floral hops. The taste pops with tart lemon peel, lime, and grapefruit rind, balanced by just a kiss of sweeter tropical fruits, over a solid biscuit malt base. There is sharp but clean hoppy bitterness throughout. Autodidact doesn't publicize the hop bill of its beers. If I didn't know it's a Pale Ale I'd think it was an American IPA. The mouth feel is crisp and refreshing with pleasant carbonation, and it packs a lot of flavor for 5.8% ABV. Overall, the canned version of Daylily is a first rate APA. Autodidact opened barely a month ago and it's off to a fine start.
