Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, dirty lemon color with a thin, milky head and soapy lacing. It has a nice nose with aromas of lemon, pineapple, tangerine, bubblegum, and soft floral hops. Its taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit and a hint of pineapple sweetness on the tip of the tongue. As it warms the flavor becomes more dank, earthy, and weedy. Beneath the fruit is a solid, dry malty base and there is moderate, clean bitterness throughout. Like other Autodidact IPAs, Abaddon has a lite, fairly crisp feel with solid carbonation. The 7% ABV allows for easy drinking. Overall, Abaddon is a tasty, easy-drinking summertime IPA that is on the dry, grassy side.
