Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours an opaque, grassy, lemon-orange color with a half finger of creamy, bright white head and soapy swirls of lacing inside the glass. The smell is big with bright lemon and grapefruit, soft floral hops, and just a whiff of pineapple. Its taste includes tart grapefruit and lemon over a fairly sweet malt base. It's grassy, herbal, and earthy with a fairly bitter finish and a touch of hop burn. I haven't been able to discern the hop bill. This ale has a pleasant, creamy mouth feel with a good level of carbonation, and the 8.5% ABV gives it lots of substance. Overall, Parallel Lines is a solid New England IPA but on the dank, weedy side.
