Reviewed on release day. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a Willi Becher glass. The color is an opaque, dirty orange with a half finger, creamy, bright white cap and soapy lacing. A rather subdued nose, which may be better from a warmer can pour. There are aromas of orange, melon, and red berry. Its taste is outstanding with notes of orange/tangerine, lemon, red berry, ripe melon, stone fruit, and as it warms just a hint of coconut. I don't think I've ever had an IPA hopped with Luminosa and Alora but this is very tasty. The mouth feel is creamy and full-bodied with moderate carbonation, and it drinks easily for 8.5% ABV. Overall, Strange Ways is a great Imperial IPA with an inspired hop bill. It's very dank, flavorful, and a pleasure to drink.
