Andromeda

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a murky, dirty tangerine color with a full finger cap of creamy, bright white foam and thick, swirled lacing. It's an attractive draught pour. The smell features lemon, grapefruit, white wine, and a whiff of pine. The Nelson hops shine in the taste; they are delicate and balanced by bitter citrus and pine sap. But the Riwaka hops add a dose of tropical fruity sweetness, including melon and pineapple. There are also spicy notes from the Krush. It is very well-balanced. I really like the mouth feel: it is full-bodied and creamy, and the 8.1% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Andromeda is a fine recipe, well-executed. It is flavorful and the mouth feel is excellent. It is the work of two fine brewers.
