Taken at the tavern the last Saturday of September '16. The porter we tried was on the board as Base Camp Porter. If that shows up on the list, we can move it. A dark, almost black color and fine, dense tan head. Good aroma of malt and brown toast. The taste was true to style, dry and not over-roasted or bitter. Great beer for an early fall evening on the North Shore. A good match to the tavern's ribs and steaks.
