On tap at the pub. Poured out a clear, dark amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled a little smoky/roasty with caramel maltiness. Sweet malty taste with a good roasted taste.

Enjoyed with dinner at one of favorite North Shore hangouts on a warm, rainy night....rather odd given it is the middle of January in northern MN. Listed on the menu as a "ruby" color, this one comes out very dark indeed. Very malt-forward with light head and low carbonation. Aroma of bread and crackers. Taste is not distinguished...nothing bad ...nothing coming to the forefront. A good beer to have with a dinner at the GFT.
