A lightly tart saison with notes of vanilla, citrus, brown sugar, and bubble gum. Brewed entirely with malt and hops from Deer Creek Malthouse and fermented with our foraged yeast culture. Exciting to see our region’s terroir in the depth of malt character, citrusy hop flavor, and a dry, fruity, and acidic fermentation profile.

On tap at the source.

Woody brown color, with a thin cap of head that fizzled out completely, leaving the beer looking mostly lifeless. Dry malts in the aroma, meadow grass, indistinct fruits. In the taste, mild saison funk, nutty malts, grass, spice...lo mein? Seriously, there was a distinct umami sensation going on end-palate into the aftertaste. Medium body, good drinkability, but a little lower carb than I would have preferred. Interesting overall.
