Many thanks to Derek for the chance to try this beauty. Shared with some friends the other day at Arch Bridge (who all seemed to like this beer quite a bit as well).
The beer pours a bright, slightly hazy golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is impressive in this beer, showcasing considerable lemon zest, clove, light vanilla and spice. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and the light vanilla and fruit balancing the mild sour component perfectly. One of the things I really like about this beer is that sour component doesn't drown out everything else, and ends up being just one instrument in a orchestra of flavor. Mouthfeel is fairly light, though the beer delivers plenty of flavor. Also, this beer has a wonderful mouthwatering quality that I always like to see in a farmhouse ale. Drinkability is exceptional, and I found myself in agreement with the bartender at AB, who noted this is the sort of beer he could drink all day long.
Another solid beer from the folks at Forest & Main.

500 mL bottle. No head atop a clear golden body. Smells of lemon and lime citrus, some white wine, and a little oak. Tastes a little tart up front with some orange citrus that turns to lime. Wine flavor permeates throughout and lends a bit of acidity. Low carbonation and medium body. This style demands delicacy that this kinda lacks. Very tasty, but a little harsh on certain flavors.

My first Forest & Main beer and I was not disappointed! Very nice light refreshing saison! Would definitely like to track down other beers by F&M and see how they compare. Enjoyed thoroughly!
