Concertina - 3.3% Hoppy Saison Collab with @SacredViceBrewing.
We had our ol’ bud Ruby from Sacred Vice over to brew a nice little hoppy saison, and we’re really digging it. We mashed in @DeerCreekMalt barley, wheat, and spelt in a slowly rising mash schedule, hopped it without fear with Mandarina Bavaria and Saaz, and fermented it with our new 2024 Foraged Yeast Culture. After primary fermentation we racked it onto some spent Citra dry hops that still had plenty of flavor to contribute, but with a bit more softness that pairs well with this small beer. It pours an almost electrically ethereal straw yellow with a stratocumulus head, and has notes of ripe white mulberries, citrusy lilac, lemon verbena, apricot juice, Juicy Fruit Gum, and a sassy hoppy dry finish. This one is a solid warm weather crusher; we recommend drinking it in the sun to get a bit of that skunky charm.

cloudy golden color, white head. good head retention. Earthy hops, grainy in the aroma and the tatse. a touch sweet but more balanced finish. not as dry as most Saisons. thin to medium bodied.
