First had: on tap at their brewpub
A dark saison. Served in a stem glass, a nearly impenetrable, rusty, dark, brown color, with a small tan head that sunk to a ringlet, leaving a bit of delicate lacing on the glass. Noticeably carbonated. Bready aroma, with hints of funk, and definite touch of fruit, somewhat indistinct, maybe resembling blueberries. Taste was light and mild, but decently complex, with flavors that more or less matched the aroma: bready yeast, berries, sugar and spice, a touch of totally tolerable grassy funk, distant notes of citrus zest and earthy hops. Medium body. Solid and drinkable.
