32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Pale watery brown. A few chunky bubbles. Faint wisps.
Smell - Chocolate malt, but not a ton of aroma. Slight yeastiness. Some grainy aromas.
Taste - Grainy. Decent malt flavor. The chocolate malt persists throughout, but the grainy saison flavors push through in the back. Lingering brown malt and bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Very thin. Medium bitterness. Medium low carbonation.
Overall - Not enough flavor to justify the watery body. Decent flavor though.

Draft offering at the source. Served in a sort of goblet meets snifter half breed. The brew appears a dark brown color with a khaki head that fades leaving stringy lace.
The smell is roasty with hints of char, tobacco and earth almost like coffee mixed with green peppers and some plastic off-notes.
The taste is roasted with char/earth and a minor fruity quality hangs around the edges. A faint pepper and phenolic plastic are hard to dismiss. The roast is not over-bearing but it dominates most of the beers character.
This is light bodied with modest carbonation. Very dry and roasty. Its unique and not that bad despite the plastic notes but not worth having again either.
