The gluten-frees are getting better; finding their legs and not trying too hard. Like some fellow low-gluten specialists, Otherwise might have compensated for the loss of barley flavour by amping up the ABV or piling in the hops. But Otherwise instead focussed on how a more specialised yeast and millet can work together to produce a fruitier APA.

While Western Addition Looks only slightly above average (a lasting foam would be nice). it does Smell like an APA but only moderately so. This balance is consistent in the Taste. A bit light of medium-mouthed; but rice and millet will never be as full as barley.

As for the very good Overall Hugs I give Otherwise, that's because they are trying to return brewing to its roots before barley took over. Many other grains can help make brewing better and more historical and sustainable. Like a lot of things to meet the challenges of tomorrow, brewing needs to reinvent itself. For helping do that, Otherwise gets Big Hugs.
