On tap at Tin Bucket.

A clear copper with a dense with head with decent retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a rather intense hop blast. Eschewing the more aromatic and fruity hops, this beer focuses on the dank weed-like and pine-like hops. Moderate malt character is present with caramel and some sugar, though this is quite hop dominant. Unlike some other B15 IPAs, this doesn't resort to haze to "amplify" its hoppiness, which is something i appreciate. The palate opens moderately bitter, hella resiny and moderately sweet. Caramel pine, weed and some bitter mango are present, along with a noticeable alcohol note. The mid palate is sticky and resiny, allowing the soft carbonation to gently prod the weed and pine into a sweet and boozy finish. While not as refined as the Pfriem or Barley Brown's 3x IPAs, this is a very worthy addition to the style. Quite excellent.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Can is dated 01/24/25. Bought it a few hours ago at Chuck's Hop Shop Seward Park. This can says it's 10.6%

Pours slightly hazy yellow color, medium sized head, maybe a finger or just shy. Leaves a thick skin and almost equally thick lacing, drooling down the sides of the glass. Smell is booze, grain, tons of honeysuckle and orange blossom, a little citrus zest. A little pine, some lemon rind.

Taste is boozy, sweet coconut, honeydew melon, orange blossom, orange cream.

Mouthfeel is thick, rich, almost chewy. Overall, quite tasty, nice beer.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, grapefruit, mixed light tropical fruit and a little dankness. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus, piney and tropical fruit hops, orange, light pine, mango, pineapple, green melon and a little dankness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Sure wish I'd picked up a few more of these, I think they are gone for this year. Block 15 seems to almost always charm me with their hop profile and this is no different. There is a lot going on and the tropical fruit along with the pine and citrus seem to be too busy, but it drinks harmoniously. Several of my favorite triple IPAs seem to get more dense caramel flavors over the years, but this shows that a little caramel goes a long way of adding interest while letting the hops shine. No component really dominates; well balanced. One of the nicer big IPAs I've had in a while. Nice. This year's seem to clock in at 10.5% ABV.

Look: Clear bronze in the glass and my pour brings on a slow but lofty off-white head that holds at ½ finger before slowly receding and leaving awesome lacing behind
Aroma: Pine, fir needles, navel orange, freshly baked bread, lime, resinous hop flowers, and wafts of ethanol
Taste: Candied orange sucker punches the palate upon first sip and develops from candied to ripe to overripe, almost musty as sweet malt follows closely behind. Resinous conifer notes peek in and out as well but this is an orange bomb, along with a little lime, through and through to me. Closes with a light bite, sweet malt, and amazingly, almost no hint of alcohol heat
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, lightly chewy but not heavy or cloying, and felt but mild dryness on the finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. As a Block 15 fan, I wanted to try their take on a Triple IPA knowing I’m not into them like I was in my younger years and can say, I’m impressed. Usually, Triple IPAs are too sweet and/or too boozy for me and this one is neither, so is dangerously drinkable at 10.5%. Definitely worth the try

16 oz can

Pours a clean one finger white head into my tulip glass. The head looks....just, yeah, clean, good, solid. The body is a dark orange, almost copper color. Visibility is low, though it is not cloudy. Medium carbonation. Head retention is average, didn't hang around too long. Overall it looks good so far.

The nose is great, big, fresh hop aroma when I cracked the can. Now it has settled into a fruit bomb. Mango, papaya, very tropical. A little citrusy, and just a taaad dank. Pretty sweet overall, mostly from the fruity hops, but also backed by a malt sweetness, definitely not over the top sweet. Dankness comes through a little more as time goes by, almost a little spicy. It's a good nose, kinda standard from Block 15, but that's not a bad thing.

The flavor is big, that's for sure. Does a pretty darn good job of hiding that 10.5% though I can still tell it's there. It kinda hits me with an overall sweet, slightly astringent feel when it hits my palate. Hops are there, but take somewhat of a back seat to the overall feel. Fruity, but again, the flavors are not coming through as much as on the nose. A tad spicy. I hope things come out more as it warms. For now, it's good, nothing more.

The mouthfeel is good, I think. I’m not too stoked on the astringent, sweet, booze feel, but that is somewhat expected with a 10.5 beer, and all things considered, it does a great job of hiding the alcohol. Also, let me be perfectly clear, it's definitely not too sweet, it's just has that sweet boozy character to it. The good part - is that while the flavors are not (yet?) coming through very much, you still get a lot of flavor in general, which really fills up my mouth. The carbonation is nice, medium carbonation. The body is there, it has girth to it. And it overall just fills my mouth with flavor, and some sticky hops.

The drinkability is pretty good considering this is 10.5% you can tell there is some booze here, but it's not much of a factor, and that deserves recognition.

The appearance turned out...nothing amazing. Lacing was not really a thing here. I had some bubbles on top of the body, in formation, to remind me it's not like, flat, but it wouldn't even constitute as film. Head left pretty fast. Overall not bad, below average Id say though.

Overall this is an impressive job of hiding abv. But as far as I'm concerned, that's not enough to get this beer crazy ratings. It's a good beer, but there simply isn't enough going on in the flavor for me to really love it. The nose had some action, and the flavor is just pretty vanilla. All the flavors are kinda there, just not fully there.

Really great color. Nice and thick and resinous feel. But disappointingly too sweet. Not balanced enough. Nice beer, but glad I only picked up one.

I had slightly higher hopes for this, being Block 15 and all...But it was more malt-forward/sweeter and heavier than expected, and the hops sort of drifted into the background and became more nondescript as a result. Still a really good, largely balanced, and dangerously drinkable beer, but something, in my opinion, a little short of 'incredible.' Sometimes, perhaps, Block 15's outstanding track record works against them...

Slightly hazy, coppery color. Foamy head, dissipated quickly. Left a fair amount of streak lacing. Aroma is floral and ripe fruit with sweet malt. A bit of dankness to it. Flavor is melon, tangerine and hints of pine. Very resinous and thick. This is all made quite smooth by the malt. Very well balanced for such a big DIPA. The alcohol is well hidden and I could easily drink another because it's that good.

On draft at Tin Bucket. Nice sweet hop aroma. Crystal clear amber with light head. Very malty, almost a syrupy feeling after a Hubert. Good beer, starting to think IIPAs are always going to be too sweet for me.

500 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep orange body. Small white head and a thin collar. Leggy.

Smell - Boozy. Caramel malt sweetness. Lots of orange hop aroma.

Taste - Orange hops. Not that sweet, but lots of caramel malt flavor. Boozy and a little astringent in the back.

Mouthfeel - Heavy and boozy. Medium carbonation.

Overall - Tastes good, but it's a little too big for me.
