Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/31/24 — pretty fresh!
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: sweet & orangey classic hazy IPA aroma. Not too bad, but also not really bringing anything new to the table.
Taste: sweet and citrusy, if not exactly as orangey as marmalade. There’s definitely a jamminess here — the label says there are Belma hops in this recipe, so maybe that’s what I’m tasting. Bitterness reasonably high; it balances the sweetness pretty well. I like the novelty present in this one.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: as I drink it, I find the flavor builds in a way that I’m not entirely enamored with. It’s a solid enough beer, but perhaps just not quite my cup of tea.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, orange, tangerine and grapefruit. Flavor is pale malt with mild caramel, citrus and piney hops, orange, tangerine, grapefruit and pine. Nice resinous citrus rind and pine finish with great hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. They had me at the marmalade. I'm a big fan of orange citrus flavors in IPAs and this one promises and delivers plenty. It also has a delightful estery orange character in the finish. The orange rind really does taste a lot like marmalade, although one with a little spruce added. I love this series of IPAs and this is one of my favorite ones.

Sticky Hands Marmalade from Block 15 Brewery. Received 16 oz cans in a LIF from @snaotheus. Stored at home at 38 degrees. Reviewed 25/09/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Marked on bottom rim of can “PKGD 08/24/21”. Served at 38.3 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 45.1 degrees.
Appearance – 4.25.
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), opaque. When rear-lite, same, and translucent.
Head – Average (Maximum four cm, aggressive center pour), white, high density, average retention, diminishing to a five to seven mm undulating crown edged by jagged three-dimensional lacing and a partial rocky cap. Second pour produces a one cm head.
Lacing – Good. Multiple three-dimensional rings of tiny bubbles, connected by short columns, and breaking into torn curtain lacing at the top edge.
Aroma – 3.5 – Initially weakly pineapple, no malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4 – Begins with a slightly sweet taste of pineapple, a bit citrusy with some malt, no yeast, and a slightly bitter aftertaste. No ethanol (8.1 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 4 – Medium, approaching creamy, soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4 Looks good. Not much aroma but pineapple flavor predominates. Nicely citrusy. Good palate.

16oz can served in a stemless wineglass. Bought it at Chuck's. It's dated 08/24/21.
Pours clear pale yellow with a thick creamy head and small amount of very fine carbonation. Smell is citrus pith and zest -- very orange-peely.
Taste is much more bitter than I expected. Leans hard into the zest side of citrus flavor, with a moderate slightly honey like sweetness that doesn't exactly balance it out, but offsets it slightly. Very long, very slow bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly light and dry. Overall, very nice beer.

16-ounce can purchased at ABV Public House, Hillsboro, OR. Enjoyed in a nonic half-pint glass. Date stamp on the can reads "PKGD 08/24/21".
Look:
Nice bright yellow-orange color, hazy but not opaque. The off-white head looks thick and rich, but quickly shrinks to a thin foam collar. Not much lacing.
Smell:
Sweet and juicy, with some pine notes under a bunch of citrus. Notes of sweet rolls, orange juice, orange peel, unsweetened grapefruit juice, some ripe mango, pine needles, and a blast of alcohol.
Taste:
First impression is sweet rolls with orange icing. Malt is more cereal-like than bread-like. In the middle there's a bite of tangerine peel that gives way to notes of pine and grapefruit pith. Moderate bitterness cuts through the sweetness and citrus. Finishes with malt, marmalade, a touch of pine resin, and bold, warming alcohol.
Feel:
Medium-full body with a soft, almost fluffy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Ends with noticeable alcohol burn.
Overall:
Block 15 Sticky Hands Marmalade is an enjoyable take on the base version. It offers a softer mouthfeel and tons of bittersweet citrus in the aroma and flavor. Recommended.

A mildly hazy orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is loaded with citrus. Bitter orange, grapefruit, mandarin peel, a light floral note. There's a vague undercurrent of malt, not quite bread or dough, but present and noticeable. The palate opens mildly bitter with a moderate citrus note with Seville orange, grapefruit, orange peel, quite marmalade like, actually. Fruity, mildly bitter finish. Very tasty.

A very delicious variation on the usual sticky hands. Poured into a snifter the day after canning.
L: yellow/gold and extremely hazy. One finger head that fades quickly
S: Like tropical hops, sweet citrus, and light malts.
T: similar to the smell. Very reminiscent of marmalade. Reminds me of an orange sweet roll.
F: Medium light bodied with a nice mouth coating thickness akin to drinking juice.
O: I really liked this variation of sticky hands, but could easily have been an entirely different beer.
