Collaboration with Heater Allen Brewing
Pre-Prohibition Lager
Welcoming a new member annually, the Alumni Club celebrates some of the brightest graduates from the hallowed halls of Oregon State University. Partnering with OSU alumni Rick & Lisa Allen, along with members of the OSU Fermentation Science Department, we proudly present this historical style lager. Pouring a deep golden hue accompanied by aromas of biscuit, honey and fresh hay, this modern classic features flavor notes of lemon citrus and lemongrass with a pilsner-like bitterness, a true definition of heritage, innovation and collaboration.

Clear, copper-hued body; lively carbonation; thick head, white, frothy, semi-creamy, very rocky appearance. Sweet, lightly toasted malt aroma; slight spicy and/or herbal note. Fine malt flavor; light caramel and toasted grain character; light to moderate bitterness; sweet and peppery. Medium-heavy body; somewhat coarse on the palate; sweet feel undercurrent yet winds up mainly dry overall.
A good beer overall, it seems a bit sweet. One could add a note of honey in the taste (as suggested by the beer's description). It has some decent complexity in the taste although a little rough around the corners.
Pouring temperature: 45 °F; canning info: 05/26/22

Pours a very clear amber, light head. Pick up a nice beer-y aroma with some biscuity notes. Taste is moderately hopped and malty. Long finish, very refreshing. We like the way these top tier brewers are encouraging and supporting the university programs that underlay much of what makes the PNW a special place.

16oz can from Block 15. Clear golden body with a small frothy white head. Malty, grassy aroyma, light hop touch. Taste is sweet and super crispy, biscuit malts and a sharp bite to finish it.
