Look: Golden and clear with lively carbonation that jump starts a head to quickly form, settling rapidly to a film and leaving decent lacing behind

Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Oak, leather, star jasmine, tart apple skins, dry pear, lime leaves, Brett funk, hay, and light earthiness. This smells awesome

Taste: Pear, limes, and tart apple jump right out and start swinging as some jasmine and sweet box join the fray. Oak and leather emerge and hold center stage for a moment before deepening and blending in with the fruitiness until Brett yeast and hay signal the close, which also has some light earthiness

Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean on the finish with just a kiss of dryness

Overall: This is one damn tasty Saison. I first tried the 2nd release/batch of this beer and liked it a lot so grabbed last year’s release and then stashed it and forgot about it until today – 9 months later. It is an outstanding mixed culture Saison that benefits from the blending well as it not only further increases its depth, but lends to a smoother, cleaner final beer overall. Incredibly deep, delicious, and fun to drink. Do yourself a favor and don’t sleep on these releases if you see them

L: Golden body. One finger fizzy head.
S: Zippy and fruity and dry. Lemon, berry, apple, oak, hints of vanilla, and a lively aromatic spice.
T: Follows the nose. A splash of citrus acidity upfront, hand in hand with sweeter vanilla and fruit; apple, berry, strawberry. Notes of oak and white pepper. More and more fruit with each sip.
F: Moderate carbonation. Dry but not drying.
O: Quite delicious.
