The iconic hop experience ale you all know is slammed with a fresh hop treatment! Using fresh-picked Citra hops from Alluvial Hop Farms, we immediately cryogenically froze the hop cones and shattered them straight to the tank for a fresh hop blast, all within a few hours.

Look: Looks like sticky Hands on the pour – dull, opaque orange with a silky white head that finishes as a lid and leaves copious amounts of lacing behind

Aroma: Orange zest, lemon zest, grapefruit rind and flesh, strawberries, Cannabis, cut grass, wafts of peach, and bready malt

Taste: Opens up with a hit of orange and quickly followed by fruity Cannabis that hangs on for a good moment before more citrus rushes in. Wet hop cones ensue along with some peach and berry notes, all backed by a hefty malt bill. Closes with dank, citrus, and a good bite

Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish

Overall: I dig it. I’m a Block 15 and Sticky Hands fan so wanted to try this but was trepidatious after these folks’ 1st fresh hop offering fell way short of my expectations. This is a good rebound with some nice fresh hop notes from the Citra and even at 2 weeks old. Glad I got to try it and good on them to redeem themselves in my book

I spent way too much on a four pack of this. But I enjoyed it, so was it all worth it in the end?

Fresh hop 2024 version of one of my favorite beers. Pours in the tulip a clear golden yellow with tight foaming.

I am surprised by how light of a hop presence appears on the nose, even once it warms. The sip is similar, delicate and nuanced, while unmistakably full of mosaic notes. Mixed bag, if compared to the standard Sticky Hands, but a welcomed version none the less.

Great aroma as you pop open the can, catch it while you can. Packaged one month ago - 16 Sept.
The FH puts into an already iconic DIPA a heightened hop flavor while retaining the smoothness marriage of hop bitterness and tasty malt base. The 2014 version comes out swinging for the fences.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, grapefruit and a hint of over-ripe tropical fruit. Flavor is mildly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, grapefruit, condensed mixed fruit (like fruit leather) with some floral elements. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouthfeel. Well, I'll try any new Sticky Hands variety and a fresh hop one is a sure buy. Although it has many of the attributes that make this series one of my favorite IPAs, solid malt, fresh tasting hops and a almost always a great hop profile with solid bitterness, this one does not have some of the expected fresh hop herbal notes, perhaps even less than the base IPA. Although it's missing some of the fresh of the fresh hop, it's a great IPA. I'm wondering if it has to do with the cryo treatment of the hops before use. This has the expected citrus note of Citra, but also both a pleasant dankness and interesting mixed fruit notes. Even though this is one of the less freshly herbal "fresh hops" I had this season, it's still a wonderful IPA. Very enjoyable and a bit different in profile for a single hop.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Packaged 09/16/24, six days ago. Bought it at Beer Authority last night (had it on tap there, too, but reviewing from scratch since it was a social situation).

Pours moderately hazy, light amber-gold, smallish head. Head is dense around the edges and coarse in the middle, small amount of very fine carbonation. Smell is a little boozy, very dank, some melon and melon rind, some earthy bitterness.

Taste is again on the boozy side, but again tons of dankness and melon rind, earthy bitterness, some grain husk sweetness, maybe a hint of honeysuckle.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, maybe a bit on the heavy side, not very lively but not sticky or chewy. Overall, very nice beer.
