On tap at Bier Stein during their anniversary celebration.
The beer pours a brownish red color with pretty good head retention and lacing. The nose is pretty exotic in this one, as I pick up considerable cherry, light vinegar, brandy (from barrels), light chocolate and light vanilla. The flavor profile replicated the nose pretty closely, with the brandy flavor helping to tame the considerable fruit tartness I'm picking up. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, and the finish is long, tart and slightly boozy (but not hot). Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile otherwise, and the amount of flavor I'm getting in this beer is impressive.
An impressive beer, though it bordered on a being at bit too sour for my palate.
