Enjoyed on tap. Pours a deep brown/black with a dark tan head that quickly dissipates.
The aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves followed by roasty malt, whiskey and vanilla.
Taste is very big and bold. Spice and bitter and chocolate and dark fruit and roast coffee and toffee and vanilla. A nice, bitter drying finish and a hint of warming booze.
Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with little carbonation.
Overall, I was a bit leery of this combination but it worked very well. Quite tasty and layered.
