This is another beer served at their 10th Anniversary Party, a gathering marked by the amazing kindness of our hosts.
The brewers creativity puts me at a loss here, wehter to classify this beer under tripels or elsewhere.
Their description: Belgian Tripel fermented with cherries and aged in a bourbon barrel.
And it is all there.
Slightly murky, but golden with reddish highlights, it produced a nice fluffy whitish head.
Aroma runs the gamut from nicely malted, fruity, yeasty, hoppy and obviously, cherries abound.
Medium bodied, it is quite pleasant and complex. I wish I had another shot at trying this one in a single beer tasting.
