Loaded with Flaked Oats & Wheat, and layered with a variety of fun / sexy hops. Zappa is a fun hop that was originally found growing wild out in the deserts of New Mexico, and has a fun and unique flavor profile, extra strength zebra stripe gum with a little fruit cocktail thing going on.
Tasting Notes :
Lime Zest & Mango aromatics, Papaya, & tropical fruit cocktail notes with a creamy lemon finish
"Jazz isn't dead, it just smells funny "

Poured from 12-ounce can into a tulip glass. Hazy pale yellow, with a thick white head that settled after a minute or so to a thin ring. Tropical fruit, citrus, and floral notes on the nose. More tropical fruit (papaya, mango) on the palate, with Meyer lemon, citrus zest, and a hint of lime. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy, with good bitterness on the finish. Admittedly, the sample I purchased had a bit of age on it (about five months at the time of purchase) so the hop character wasn't as intense as I'd hoped. Still, a very good beer and recommended with reservations. The fresher the better.
