From a 12oz can. No date on the can.

This beer pours a dark amber color. When held to the light it is more of a ruby amber color. The clarity is slightly murky. The head is tan in color and 2 finger in size. Frothy looking bubbles and very long lasting. There's some beautiful sticky lacing on the glass.
The nose is fairly light to be honest. I do get some peach notes in it as well as some caramel and toffee.
Taste - I get a good hit of caramel and toffee up front. I get a good malty flavor. There's hints of dark fruit. Hints of hops show in the middle with a slight bitterness. The back is somewhat sweet and that's where the peach notes come into play as well as the maple. I am not a brandy fan, and there's some notes of it in the flavor, but it's not very strong.
Thick and smooth body. Faint burn to the beer.
I am not getting the hate on this beer. I think it is well constructed and has a great flavor profile.

Almost traveled to Milwaukee for this release, since my love of CW BWs knows no bounds (you should see my cellar). I didn’t, but traded for both 12 oz. cans.

The pour is frowning brown & big-beer lifeless. Strong peach & gentle maple find the nose, just like it says in the copy.

Peach & Maple Barrrel Aged Barleywine is no relation to the famous base CW BA Barleywine. And I will hear nothing further on that matter. There’s a sharpness to this that doesn’t fit, like iron nails added to the wort. The maple & peach ride a distant second, along with a dirtiness that’s highly unappealing. A sampler would have been plenty.

This is a lousy beer leaning towards terrible. A few ounces in the belly & the rest enjoyed by my sink.

Pours a very dark amber with a half finger of tan head with great retention for the style, as well as some heavy, but short-lived lacing.

Peach tea and shoe leather aroma that comes off a little dry, with just a kiss of maple and caramel behind.

The peach and maple both slap much harder up front in the taste, with the tea and leather characteristics coming on second, and leading to a relatively clean finish with just a little molasses.

On the thin side of medium bodied, with just a smidge of milkiness, and fairly strong, tight carbonation.

Lots of tasty elements in here, but the balance between them is incongruent to my taste. Not bad, but not living up to its potential either.
