Pours a crystal clear pale golden color with a frothy white head that lingers as a cap on the beer and provides some modest lacing. Beautiful lager.

The nose feature a heavy dose of bread and grass, and there’s a nice bit of lemon that is also present on the taste, but it’s the grassy hop flavor and the delicious bready note that make this beer, IMHO.

The mouthfeel is crushingly crisp and clean, perfect for this excellent Helles lager.

First beer at the Central Waters location in downtown Milwaukee, in the former Pabst House. Was in town for the 20th Marquette reunion, and it was pouring rain this day. Didn't play like no disc golf then. Bummer. So indoors it was, drinking time. Why not start with a beer style with a historical nod to the city itself.

Pours golden. Looks just like so many of the beers round these parts. 1/3" white head. Rich. The aroma is super grainy. I guess it probably doesn't travel as far. The lager/helles yeast is strong, and beautiful. Rich indeed. You get the vibe this is a artsy/artisan stab at Pabst pre prohibition kind of vibing. Very light noble hop.

The taste displays a heavier breadiness of entirely the barley dimension befitting for the helles designation. Its plenty enjoyable in my older age. Mouthfeel isn't as brisk as pilsners or west coast anything, but it still displays a nice heft of grain to it while being old school crushable.
