Tasted on draught at The Craft Bar, Fort Walton Beach, FL. From the vital statistics, it seems this beer is somewhere in between an English Export Stout and an Imperial Stout. The beer poured slightly murky, but cleared to a crystal mahogany as it warmed. Aromas and flavors emphasized roasted malts over hops. The lactose addition gave it some slight sweetness. This was a good stout that whose characteristics were surprisingly restrained, given the strong alcohol level.
