Another selection from the week in SLC for the Mountain West Trial academy. We're almost done with those reviews. Drank this watching the Bucks lose :(
Pours a pretty golden color with 1/2" white head and ample clarity. She's a beer alright. The aroma had a nice floral Saaz hop presence and a discernable lager yeast. Hey you can even pull some pilsner malt and those golden waves of grain in the aroma department.
The taste recedes just a tad into a more constrained version of what you smelled. Lacked the spicy edge of a well hopped pilsner, although the mouthfeel did display a better approach to the crispness of a pilsner, but not necessarily the dry aspect. LIght lemon floral Saaz hop continues to display itself. There goes the neighborhood.
At the end of the day, this is a pretty reliable pilsner. I'd say Utah did better with the lagers than the ales in my time there. Was kind of disappointed in the beers many of the breweries there choose to can up but what can you do.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
