The final beer I had while in SLC for a week. Wish I would have ended on something better, but hey, the average bell curve is biggest at the top. You are here. This is the first review of this beer I just added to this Next Glass owned database. Respect Next Glass!
Pours a mixture of light amber and dark gold. 3/5" white head, good retention. Slight cloudiness. Its darker in appearance than your average pale ale. Crystal malt contribution probably. The aroma was an off twang of barley and light bittering hops. Am I imagining dog food? The vibe is definitely not that of dry hopping nor proprietary hops.
The taste brings a muddled profile. Lacks crispness in the mouthfeel, drinks heavier as a malt bill than the 5% and pale ale style designation tend to go. Ways to be wicked. I can't discern the specific hops, seems like a feint use of C hop, maybe Amarillo. Its closer to an English pale ale for 2024 even though the yeast seems American, just the malt and hopping rates lead me to that conclusion of opinion.
