16oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass.
Pours clear dark bronze with a medium sized head. Smell is grainy, earthy, lots of wet grain husk and a little bit of bread yeast.
Taste is earthy/bitter, even stronger wet grain notes than the aroma suggested. Lots of nuttiness, particularly nut skin bitterness.
Mouthfeel is dry, light, clean. Pretty good.

Clear orangey amber brew with plenty of foam in the big Duvel tulip. Inviting leafy and herbal hop aroma with a hint of roasted grain. This is a rather hoppy brew in the Oktoberfest style. Mouthfeel is pleasantly lush and carbonated. Moderate sweetness to start and a surprising resiny finish and even some bitter aftertaste. This is more of a hoppy Lager, but it does have a decent malty underpinning. Highly drinkable in any case. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewpub near the suburban Coop Market in Bellingham.
