From BALF (Biere A La Ferme), a nano-brewery that is a cooperative. Read first BA review for explanation of styling.

First, UnTappd styled this as a Winter Ale. Not having that rubric category on BA (yet), I added this as a BPSA because it is over 7 ABV and because it reminds me of some devilish characters in that rubric.
Friskette has a huge head of medium-sized bubbles that last and form some lace, all on a slightly dishwater blonde bod. Smells are less appealing, a mute maltiness. Tastes introduce the hops and, by the finish, could be muted for my mouth... but probably not necessary for hop-lovers who like this eccentric Belgian rubric. Medium-mouthed to me.
My first from BALF, but I also bought a BALF saison from The Beer Planet in Brussels. And BALF does not have a website (it's InstaGram and I'm hesitant to go into more social media than I need.) But BALF as a cooperative venture seems interesting and represents this new wave of Belgian brewing passion that I've discovered on this journey. A Votre Sante' !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
