American style porter brewed with floor malted Maris Otter, chocolate and biscuit malts softened with a touch of oats makes for a pleasurable drinking experience. This beer won a silver medal at the PA State Farm Show. Chocolate - Coffee - Smooth

From a can purchased at the brewery, poured into a beer glass. A decent head, but light on the lacing.
Roasted caramelized barley malt and bitter-sweet chocolate dominate the flavor, coffee and hints of blackstrap molasses in the background.
Mouthfeel is a little lighter than expected.
The hops give a pleasant bitterness and dry finish with a roasted, earthy quality and a subtle sour note.
Overall a pretty solid Porter, not quite perfect though.
