Cask. Deep mahogany. Dense tan head. Sticky lacing.
Fruity aroma. Plenty of toffee malt noticed.
Tastes as it smells. The cherry can now be discerned. Sweet with a mild bitter finish.
Great cask conditioned feel.
A light black forest gateaux brew. A rich porter rather than a field beer.

Form our friend from across the pond--Cheers Keith!
This interesting little "black bitter" pours an attractive
dark burgundy color with a quickly dissipating head that fades
fast and leaves nothing at all. Nose of dark cherry and herbal
hop notes with subtle brown sugars. Flavors are nicely presented with
light brown sugar, moderately bitter cherry and herbal hop notes
with a touch of dark chocolate. Mouth feel is medium body, low
carbonation, and a bitter hop and subtle cherry finish.
Overall, a nicely done brew from a new to me brewery!
Cheers
