Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours copper amber with a frothy beige cream head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Toasty bready malt, earthy herbal notes, dark fruit, spicy pine, citrus zest, hints of tropical and stone fruit, and burnt sugar.
T: Resinous spicy pine, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and orange, toasty bready malt, dark tropical and stone fruit, plum, cherry, raisin, passion fruit, apricot, and peach, earthy herbal notes, and burnt sugar sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: I love hoppy reds so I was stoked to see Shred release this one for the holidays. Personally, I think it leans a little too heavily into the dark fruit and burnt sugar, but I tend to prefer them a bit cleaner and crisper. This one will stick to your ribs and keep you warm on a cold night, though it probably wouldn't be my first choice.
