Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Resinous pine, citrus zest, slightly spicy herbal notes, underlying exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, a touch grassy, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Lively citrus, grapefruit, lime, and tangerine, slightly spicy resinous pine, underlying mix of exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, white grape, pineapple, passion fruit, peach, apricot, gooseberry, lychee, mango, and a hint of melon, a touch of grassy faintly herbal notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Just a touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.
O: It's got some bite, but also some really nice depth behind it, and a nicely softened mouthfeel. Really well done modern IPA, probably one of the best ones I've had in a while.
I had a quick taste of this one at the brewery last year, but didn't have an opportunity to get my hands on full pour of it until now. Believe me, I made a note to track it down and snapped some up as soon as the next batch landed in my area. Just as good as I remembered.
