Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Southern Hem diesel, slightly dank spicy herbal notes, citrus zest, a little underlying exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, floral hints, and crackery biscuity malt.
T: Resinous pine, Southern Hem diesel, slightly dank spicy herbal notes, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, passion fruit, pineapple, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, apricot, and a touch of white grape, citrus, lime, tangerine, lemon, and a hint of grapefruit, faint floral hints, crackery biscuity malt, and a clean dry finish.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, super crushable.
O: Reminds me a lot of Cellarmaker's pale ales; small in size but absolutely packed with flavor. Drinks like a refined modern Westy with some Southern Hem flair, aggressive yet smooth. Easy to see why it's picked up some GABF hardware. I wish a little more of the fruity side came through in the nose, but even with that mild gripe, for what it is it's hard to beat.
